Our Zafus, etc.
Catspaw Cushions is a Colorado company that makes locally handcrafted Meditation – Yoga – Floor Cushions. Our products include cushions, neck wraps, and eye pillows.
Fabric is chosen to inspire and support.
Catspaw Cushions are filled with traditional organic USA-harvested buckwheat hulls. All cushions are filled fairly full, but they have zippers so you can add or remove buckwheat for the right height. Each zafu has a handle. A translation of zafu is a cushion for sitting, where za means “sitting” or “to sit,” and “fu” means “cushion, bolster, a long pillow or cushion that provides support to strengthen, reinforce, boost, fortify and renew.”
We offer these products:
Meditation Cushions – Traditional round: approximately 6″ x 13″; 6.8 – 7.5 lb
Rectangular, 5″ x 10″ x 15″; 5-6 lbs.
Custom order larger rectangle 9″ x 11″ x 15″; about 10lbs (see “custom order” tab at the cushion store).
We make custom round zafus that are deeper. These are great for people with tight hips or hip replacements, but who still want to sit on the floor. The larger rectangular cushion is great for people with tight hips or back. We have a few custom rectangulars in stock, but if you don’t see the colors you want, you can custom-order the large rectangle cushion.
Please view our illustrations, How to Zafu, to learn new ways of supporting yourself in your yoga and/or meditation practice.
Eye Pillows are about 9” x 4”; the outside cover can be washed.
Neck wraps (hot/cold). These are approximately 24“ x 5”; the inside pillow has five individual compartments, and the outside cover can be washed.
Wraps and pillows are both filled with organic unhulled millet, and can be heated in the microwave or put in the freezer. They can be used on other parts of the body to relieve stress from daily life and relieve muscle tightness.
We use fedex ground and fedex smart post to ship. We use recycled boxes and packaging material when possible. Shipping is always available in USA; for international shipments please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 303-431-9870.
